ABOUT THE 2008 SUMMER
SALON Prof. Steen has over 30 years experience in
traditional European art collecting as well as contemporary art
produced in SoCA as well as other areas of the
USA
and
Europe
.
This course will focus on the art of collecting traditional and
contemporary art, painting and sculpture.
Topics will include a historical overview of collecting
traditional and contemporary art, how to formulate a collection, what
is available to collect, where to collect, contemporary collecting
trends in the categories of painting, sculpture, drawing, limited
editions, photography and installations art, collection records and
maintenance and what options are available once a collection has been
formed.

GUIDELINES:
Registration is not extended beyond registered members and
registration is not transferable.
Cancellation made prior to June 1st will be in full
less a small handling charge, unless the series is under minimum.
No full or partial refunds will be paid after June 1st,
except if there is a waiting list.
Registrants may bring one guest one time to any one lecture.
