 California painting, drawing, sculpture, limited edition prints and photography, conceptual and 
site-specific art since 1979/1980 to the present and twentieth century Southern California plein-air 
painting and drawing.

ADVISOR SERVICES: Services include, but are not limited to, advising, educating, counseling,
creating, purchasing, extending and building, museum quality and historically significant new,
pre-existing or inherited contemporary fine art collections.  Services also cover advisement of
contemporary fine art collecting from one piece of art, to a few, or to many. All advisement is
drawn upon and interfaces with professional artists, galleries and support people in the field of
 fine art.

The advisement provides “situational advisement”, customized learning and support for achieving goals in assessing and collecting contemporary art.

ABOUT PROF. RONALD E. STEEN. FINE ART ADVISOR: Prof. Steen is a multi-degreed art historian working on the paintings of the Seventeenth Century Dutch master and ancestor, Jan Steen.  He is also an art and museum educator, critic, curator, former museum director, and former instructor of art history at California State University at Fullerton , U.C.L.A. Extension, and has been an adjunct lecturer for the J. Paul Getty Museum Education Department.  In 1982, Prof. Steen received the "Outstanding Achievement in Museum Education Award", from the Museum Educators of Southern California organization and in 1997 he received the "Founding President 1979-1982 Award" from the same education organization.  Prof. Steen is a member/advisor/curator on the Fine Arts Committee of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angeles.  Having created and executed 25 years of art education programs on Southern California contemporary art, artists, galleries and private collections as well as having curated numerous exhibitions focusing on contemporary art Prof. Steen has extensive experience and is qualified as a fine art advisor.  A full resume is available, on this web site, see main index.
